Featured on CNN story about nomadic living during Coronavirus (Covid-19)
I was recently interviewed by Channon Hodge from CNN about what it is like to be living the, “Vanlife” during these uncertain times. Check out an exerpt from the article here:
Matt Alexander, who runs a site called Enjoy the Journey and who films for the YouTube channel Tiny House Giant Journey has found a spot on BLM land in the Nevada desert. He gets groceries delivered to Amazon lockers in town, so he can limit his time spent in stores. His only neighbors are rabbits, and he spends his mornings drinking coffee on his roof deck with his Chihuahua, Stella. Even as he sees his situation getting more difficult, he still doesn’t envy people who live in urban environments.”But I also feel safer because I’m so far disconnected from cities and environments like that,” said Alexander, on a Zoom call from his couch. “There’s a level of peace and comfort that comes from nature with the sun coming up every day and setting every night. That doesn’t change whether the coronavirus is out or not.” (See the full article by clicking the photo below.)
It was such a pleasure to meet Matt. We are a couple traveling around on motorcycles. We ran into him in Idaho while doing a story on Brittney who enjoys life in her converted bus. What a great story
