Historic Beaufort, South Carolina Bike Tour
Adriana & I had the chance to drive back through Beaufort on our way home and my fraternity brother Witt gave us such a wonderful bike tour of historic Beaufort and the amazing Plantation homes littered throughout so we figured we would share it with you guys.
Heading to Beaufort?
Beaufort has a great main drag right on the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. Take a stroll along the waterfront and enjoy the many rocking benches available for anyone to enjoy the slowed down southern charm that exudes this area. Head north to the Beafort Library to see the infamous statue greeting you as you enter. Interesting choice from the city, I’ll leave it at that.
If you’re on a bike or you love running long distances continue on to the east of the downtown into the “Old Point” neighborhood where you will find amazing plantation home after amazing plantation home with beautiful views of the marsh and coastal waters. Finish up your tour on the north tip of Pigeon Point Road where you will find some great north & west views and a public boat dock. All of the points mentioned are linked to my Enjoy The Journey Travel Google Map which you can find here:
